Future-proofing McLaren Vale’s natural assets

Established in 2016, McLaren Vale Community Sustainability Company (MVCSC) is a not-for-profit organisation.

Our mission, as a community-based organisation; is to facilitate projects which benefit the community of McLaren Vale and surrounding areas.

Volunteer groups working to improve the region’s biodiversity and natural environment are encouraged to apply to MVCSC for funding to support their projects.

Funded project: Biodiversity McLaren Vale

Biodiversity McLaren Vale (BMV) works to enhance indigenous biodiversity within the McLaren Vale region to foster a regenerative rural economy, farms and community.

Through the restoration of creek lines on the Willunga, Maslin and Pedlar Creek systems, BMV is protecting and enhancing the biodiversity of privately-owned land within McLaren Vale, whilst also improving the natural amenity and visual landscape of our premier wine tourism region.

Funding support provided by MVCSC provided much-needed tools and equipment to support training new volunteers, growing the skill base of the community volunteer organisation and fostering future leaders.

“MVCSC funding enabled Biodiversity McLaren Vale to sign up new Planting and Industry Partners, generating new work sites, new support systems and new equipment to continue our work .”
